Chemical peeling

With the passing of time the surface of the skin starts to show changes in the form of spots, wrinkles and dilated pores, which give it a dull and aged appearance. This is all accelerated by exposure to the sun, smoking, poor hydration and an unbalanced diet. Chemical peeling helps achieve overall improvement in the area of skin being treated (face, neck, hands, cleavage, etc.). A chemical peel consists of applying an acid solution to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin, thus eliminating imperfections and enhancing and smoothing the skin texture. There are various types of peeling available depending on the problem to be treated. For optimal results, the most important thing is a correct dermatological diagnosis to determine the best treatment and to choose the most appropriate chemical and concentration for each patient. The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis and without anaesthesia. The procedure is used by both men and women. Depending on the type of peeling carried out, the patient will be able to resume their normal activities the next day. At the Dr. Javier Bassas Dermatology Centre we will advise you on the most suitable peeling for you, based on the characteristics of your skin and the results you wish to achieve.
