Dermatological diseases and treatments
Microdermabrasion is a technique whereby small grains of silica are used to exfoliate the upper layers of the skin. The procedure is indicated for correcting acne scars and for treating skin ageing. It is sometimes used in combination with other cosmetic procedures such as chemical peeling or intense pulsed light, in order to obtain optimal results. The treatment is carried out in the clinic, without anaesthesia, and patients can resume their normal activities immediately afterwards.
